Who knows what the difference is between all the different types of lights on the market? I hear all these terms but have no clue what's what....

Angel Eyes and Halo's are the same, these are the BMW style lights where a light ring goes around the outside edge of the light reflector. HID is a type of light that uses a high intensity arc to create light, these are usually found in projector type housings which "focus" the light into a usable beam. You can put HID lights into regular type headlight housings like ours although it it not always recommended because our lenses are reflector type lenses and they do not focus the intense light very well, not to say that it can't be or isn't done.

Thanks for the breakdown, Chuck. So when someone says projection are they referring to HID or not? And I had an 02 Maxima with Xenons....are Xenons HID or something totally different?

Projectors can be either, the older ones used regular type bulbs usually halogen, the newer ones are usually HID. I'm not sure if xenons are HID or not but they are brighter than halogen.

I loved those headlights. The highs showed at least 2 mi. distance when I tested them on a straight shot.

When you hear Xenon, it refers to a gas that is used in the bulbs to create the color and output that they have.

I think my favorite is the led's on the new Audi's headlights...man if we could get something like that in our rigs, that would be sweet.
