The all-new Trail Grappler M/T blends some of the off-road performance of the Mud Grappler with the on-road comfort of the Terra Grappler to create a tire that is both aggressive and quiet. For off-road performance, the sidewall combines a 3-ply high turn-up construction with a thick rubber compound that cushions the tire and helps prevent punctures. On the tread surface, the blocks are configured to provide additional biting edges that command lateral stability and enhance forward traction. For on-road comfort, Nitto's engineers used advanced sound analysis equipment to reduce the noise levels commonly associated with off-road tires. The internal construction and tread design also help optimize treadlife. Two wide steel belts provide a stable base for the tire and increase tread strength. This advanced construction provides optimal uniformity and reduces irregular wear.
Nitto promises the Trail Grappler MT will be the next best thing to hit the Grappler line up. For those of you who love the Terra Grappler but want a little more bite and off-road performance without stepping up to the Mud Grappler, this tire is for you. Nitto manufactures their Grapplers with the most up to date manufacturing technologies. Nitto uses segmented molds that fit together like puzzle pieces, and continuous wound steel belting. These two manufacturing processes alone make a huge difference when it comes to balancing. They also help to dramatically reduce the tires chance for tread separation. Add to these, Nitto's highly sophisticated rubber compounds and the fact that Nitto builds 90% of their Grapplers in the USA and you have a winning combination.

The Trail Grappler is certainly an awesome tire and Nitto did a great job engineering it. I would like to see someone with a Tundra put this tire through it's paces! Does anyone have any pics or reviews they can share?

Yeah I heard about these yesterday but stuck with the TerraGrappler. I need to keep the Tundra on the freeway and opted out of an even more aggressive pattern. It looks nice though! From what I hear it's a big hit so far.

Thanks Beezwax. It looks like the only 37" option Nitto builds for 20" wheels is size 37x12.50-20. The approved rim width range for this size is 8.5" to 11" and my guess is Shawns wheels are 12" wide.

Just got the call saying the 325/60/18 Terra Grapplers came in today and they want me to come take a look cuz they are some huge mofos. But the lift says max size 37x13.5 for the Tundra so should be fine. Also running OEM fender flares. Think I'll have any issues?

The 325/60-18 is a common size for the Tundra so as long as the wheel dimensions are correct, you'll be in good shape.

Thanks, I thought so too. I just don't think they have had the experience with many Tundras so they are a bit uncertain. The tire is about half my height so I can imagine!

Nitto will release the Trail Grappler in size 37x13.50-22 by years end. At this time, this is the only 22" size they will be producing.

Tough to say really. Other M/T tires in this size are priced anywhere from $450.00 to $500. As soon as this size is released we will update the pricing information on our website.
