Either you like to stay busy or it's that boring out there? LOL either way it's cool you get time to work on your truck so often. By the time you get to the next meet, it'll be a whole new rig.

Take advantage of it like you are doing.....at least you're doing a lot of the work yourself so it's not eating out your wallet. Plus, it gives me something to do at work and watch your mods LOL....

I got my 6000K kit in tonight and now I have to figure out how to lower the headlamps. I pulled up behind a lady at a light and she flipped her rearview mirror then flipped me the bird. I thought it was pretty damn funny. Still got to lower them a bit. Its a little more blue than I was expecting but now I need to do the fogs. The highs I will leave as is.

check your fuses most of the time its because the HID lights use more power so you have to put in a higher fuse.

HIDs are supposed to use less power. But yes fuses are always a good place to start. If your fuse is good, I would turn the foglight switch on and then measure voltage at the foglamp connector. If you have 12 or so volts at the connector, then you have a problem with the HID system. Could be a ballast or bulb. Just got to work your way down the tree.

I doubt it would be a relay. Relays don't fault too often. He might get the idea if the fuse is ok but no power at the connector. I am used to reading wiring diagrams on Mercedes. I don't really know the systems for Toyota and every manufacturer is different. We have Japanese engineering in our trucks and I work on German engineered cars. Now they can throw some bullshit in their systems. Trust me.

Thats gonna be bright as hell! I personally won't do the highbeams just because I do a lot of city driving and don't have the chance to use the highs much also, when you turn on the highs, the take a few seconds to warm up and get the full light output. That will happen everytime you turn on the highs when they have been off for like 5 minutes or so. It would badass for back road driving though! I too want to do the anytime foglamp mod when I get my HID kit for the fogs. Would be great for dusk time driving and would go great with the special LEDs I have ordered for the headlights. Now if they would just hurry up and get them off of backorder and shipped out to me. I was hoping to have them installed before the next meet.

My driving light/fogs run with either low, full, or hi. Is that considered "any time" fogs even though they won't run just by themselves.

I think you will be okay Ross. HIDs are supposed to use less power, burn brighter, and last longer. If you think about it, the factory halogen light wattages are this: Lowbeam - 55 watts, Highbeam - 60 Watts, Foglamps - 55 watts. All together thats 340 watts of light. With all HID like your setup will be you will have 250 watts. Now thats not lumens (light output) but less wattage, which if I am correct and correct me if I am wrong, would be less of an amperage draw on the battery. I think you will be good.
