So far it looks like I have 4 options:
- use yellow film to cover the light lenses
- buy upgraded yellow bulbs
- HID 3k upgrade
- Krylon stained glass paint
The yellow film is precut 5" for the fogs and are priced at $9. Upgraded H10/9145 bulbs run at $11-$45 depending on make and quality. You may also need harness adapters as these bulbs run hotter depending on wattage. HIDs being the most expensive at $115 are the real deal putting out a true yellow wavelength and light whereas the bulbs attempt to imitate it by filtering out the white light.
Stock wattage for fog lights as far as I know are 35 watts, same as what majority of HIDs run. The upgrade bulbs run from 42 watts and up to a crazy 80 watts. Also, the wavelengths that the upgraded bulbs claim are 2500k and 3000k. HIDs have 3000k.
Too much worked involved to paint the lenses yellow but it's doable. Once done, there's no going back really.
I think I'll just save for HIDs.

You can't go wrong with HID's. They are worth every penny. I just haven't gotten around to getting some yet.....been doing too many other mods for looks.
