Hi there,
I installed my TRD Sway bar about 2 months ago. Right off the bat, it started to hear a popping noise while backing up the driveway. I lossen all the bolts and the noise was less but still there. After a while, I decided to tighten all the bolts and the loud poping noise is back. Do i have a defect sway bar or did i install it wrong.
Now, i'm starting to hear popping noise coming from my front sway bar (when pulling into parking spaces) . I removed the front sway bar same time i installed my rear sway bar. I was installing bilsteen 5100's in the front.
I'm nervous that i made some more damage. WTH.
Any ideas or comments appreciated.

I've never installed a sway bar but I think best to do would be to find someone here and compare their installation to yours at a meet.

just take it to your dealership and ask them to check it out.

right here bro installed mine did u torque them to specs mentioned? if u didnt i dont think there will be damage to the truck but the sway bars may be bent

click on the host an image. copy url. paste on image and voila!

I click on 'host an image' then browse for the file. I select the file and then click upload. Then nothing appears.

find the file, click host it. then copy link-url

how many ppl does it take to post a pic?? lol :)
anywho, i too have the sway bar installed. i torqued to all the bolts except the 2 that connect it to the frame of the truck, didnt have a socket fit. i just used a wrench and tightened as best i could. been around 1200+ miles, no problem yet, holds fine

Can you tell a difference in handling? I'm sure you can tell some kind of difference, but is it worth forkin over the bucks?

brent i love mine to death i cant even tell u how much of a difference mine has from it ill let u drive mine at the meet if want to see if its what u want but if u put a lift on urs u will need to get the helwig one that is adjustable up to 6 inch lift the trd is only for stock heighth but they do the same thing i just like the red and mine was only 230 from toyota parts ppl
