Red Light Cameras

Welll, about a month or two ago they had just put up a redlight camera at 518 and 45. Some of you probably know what I'm talking about some don't. A buddy of mine told me, but he might of told me too late.

If the lights yellow, I slow down, if its red I make sure not to pass it cause I understand and have a family member that was t-boned because of a redlight runner. Well here, most people have always just looked to see if theres any cars, if not they go. Well there were clearly no cars, I went and thats what happened. It sucks and has set me back $75 but you gotta admit my truck looks good, haha.

At least now I know to completely stop. I can guarantee you somebodies gonna honk at me cause everybody just goes right through it. But I'm not gonna get another ticket.
This isn't the only redlight camera added in League City in the past few months, theres more. So maybe this could be a thread to warn each other where theres redlight cameras. Even though we shouldn't be running red lights in the first place. But at the same time these cameras even pick it up if you slow down and roll at 1mph to turn right. So yeah..

Big fat FUGGGGGGG on that ticket! Bad part is you said most people don't stop so I see a rear end collision waiting to happen. Post that photo for the calendar! Truck does look damn good sailing through.

I like your spirit of posting where the red light cameras are as an awareness tactic. Great idea!

yea i hate those i stopped at the one at 2351 a few months back in my taco and even tho i stopped i didnt stop long enough got the ticket reversed tho these stupid things cause more wrecks from ppl stopping short than they fix i fuckin hate those things

Not really, I've never seen a wreck there, people don't stop when the roads open. But most people know when to stop. Idk its just one of those things everybody has done since who knows when and they just put a light there. people always look behind before they actually get onto 518

Red light cameras are such B.S. I know the concept has great merit but the enforcement is just a money grab.

i have passed countless red light cameras. i havent gotten a ticket yet. i was in the company truck so maybe they were sent to utah where hqis located.

lol chances r they didnt do anything my work truck is exempt so i cant be ticketed unless im doing like 40 over

yeah, I went to my bros last night at the lofts by the ballpark. Been there a million times but I was listening to the 610 whine line and before I realized it I accidentally ran a stop sign with a cop behind me and he didn't do anything. I guess its obvious when people aren't from around your area.

i think stop signs r point less they should all be yeild signs no1 even fully stops anymore

people were straight up ignoring them

We used to have cameras here in college station but we voted to get rid of them. And just so you know, there is no legal binding for you to pay that ticket. There won't be any points against you and they can't put a warrant out. It's more like a citizens arrest kind of thing.

Yeah, but cops around here don't forget. Once your familiar with one of them your familiar with all of them and they'll pull you for every single thing they can. I have a friend that went to jail a couple weeks ago, and it all started because he didn't have a front license plate. He's been pulled over numerous times too.
Well now that I think about it a good amount of my friends know a fair amount of cops, whether in a good way or bad way.
