So true! When I bought my truck, they tried to sell me all this crap. Everything from Low-jack ($500) to dent/ding protection ($200+). I ended up getting the extended warranty that I can cancel and get a 100% refund within 30 days. Good piece of mind for a pre-owned vehicle.

Just trying to keep others informed. I typically offend the Finance person b/c I literally walk in with my calc and tell them if they're off +/- 2 cents there's no deal and don't waste my time trying to throw in GAAP insurance, etc. Not interested....paperwork please? And yes I read it all! My salesman is usually done by the time they find my vehicle because most are not into the numbers part and I request to work directly with Finance.

Nope - I never do GAP. Things will just have to happen. If I can't afford what risk may happen, then my vehicle was above my personal budget. I once had a brand new vehicle that my insurance had to total out after 6 months, they owed me 2K.
