Yeah I've loved the 2010 grille since it looks like the one I have....except bolder lines! Great choice, Rick.

Yeah buddy you're getting foil for Christmas. I'll DEFINITELY be home for that even if I'm not back in TX for good.

Would love to if I had it like that! But you'd get it for yourself before Christmas, no doubt so I'll think of something else.

Yes, here is the parts list:
Item Qty Part # description Total Cost
1. 1 53100-0C250 Grille Assy $343.91 2. 1 53117-0C030 Bracket $52.67 3. 1 53118-0C030 Bracket $49.97 4. 10 90119-A0156 Bolts $14.50 5. 5 53191-0C010 Retainers $9.60
Subtotal $470.65 Tax $38.83 Grand Total $509.48
Purchased at Don McGill in Katy
Note: I did not buy/order a new hood safety latch lever (the thing you use your hand to ropen the hood the rest of the way) and or connecting rod. If you do not want to bend your existing connecting rod, please order those two items.
Tools Needed: Flat Blade Screwdriver, Phillips Screw Driver, 10mm socket with ratchet
Install steps:
1. Pop the hood. 2. With a flat blade screw driver, pry on the uni-brow install tabs to release the unibrow. 3. Lower the hood and use a phillips screwdriver to remove the 5 screws. 4. Raise the hood and remove the 10mm nuts around the grille area. 5. Remove the two 10mm bolts holding the hood release. Disconnect the release at the hook end. The grille is held in place by a tab, so no worries about it falling on you. 6. Remove the grille, and remove the 5 retainers (square plastic nuts). 7. Optional: Clean this area, and put some good paste wax on the surface. 8. Install the 5 new retaining nuts. 9. Remove the 2 brackets using the 10mm socket. Replace with the new brackets using the same hardware you took off. 10. On the new grille, at the top, line up the inserts with the new retainers you installed and gently tap them in with the palm of your hand. 11. Open the hood, and install the 10 new bolts to the hood and brackets. 12. Now the new mounting position of the safety hood release is farther up, and you can do one of two things. Order a new lever and rod, or just bend the existing connecting rod a few inches to take up the space. In either case, install the last two 10mm bolts and you are done.

Rick, do you have pics to go along with each step? This would be a great write-up as a DIY Mod.

No, I didnt take any pictures, but its pretty easy. Maybe I can ad lib some from the old grill. My next "Mod" I'm adding 2 relays to hook up my LED's that are in the headlights. The relays will allow the LED's to blink with the turn signals. I will draw a wiring diagram today. Will take some pics while I do that install.

It looks great, I like the 2010 grills, and I want one for my truck....BUT....$500 is a catback exhaust for me. I think I will have to pass on this mod.....for a good long time at least.
