if you look the unichip has very poor ratings and Yes I have an X pipe and that's what you want to go with. If you look most of the newer mufflers have the X pipe built in depending on what sound you want you can look into the flowmasters, magnaflow, bully dog, banks, personally I use the magnaflow its not too loud, has a decent sound, and you'll get the throtle response your looking for

flowmasters do not have x-channel. You do not "need" an x-pipe. Your exhaust is pretty straight. Only need this if one side has alot more bends than the other. Go with reprogrammer, not chip. reprogrammer you can do soo much more, even clear trouble codes if you fixed the prob so your check engine light will go off. Just my opinion, it's ur truck...paint it neon green if you want, everyone has their own tastes.

I guess what I was concerned about was the length of the driver side exhaust pipe distance to the distance of passenger side..trying to equalize flow before going into sgle muffler w/dual in and out that go back on pass side and angle down together under rear quart panel...also need to know distance before muffler for the x pipe all was informed was critical of working..sorry wasn't more clear in earlier post..I saw jet had a setup for 4.7 that gave you about 14 codes at not bad price..also have just k&n right now but would like to go with complete box ..maf and throttle body if made for 4.7...exhaust manifolds are good enough per having headers if even made?

the distance should not matter because the pressure will be equal thats all an x pipe is for is to equalize the pressure so location before the muffler doesn't matter just so long as it is before the muffler and even size shouldn't be too critical so long as you maintain at least half the nominal pipe size as your main exhaust pipe because after all this will not carry much flow at all it is just to equalize the pressure which if there is a difference it shouldn't be much. This pipe will work both ways though not just from passenger to driver or vise versa due to engine timing basically just minimal flow from one to the other I would just go with a different muffler probably much cheaper by the time you figure welding of the saddle 2 times as well as the additional pipe sorry not trying to sound pretensous, but I work pipe for a living and design is just one of the functions I serve I want to look into this Jet programmer though

Moved thread to Performance Mods. Hahahaha work pipe for a living just sounds wrong on all levels, Ros.......Anywho, let me TRY to stay somewhat on focus. Hypertech does have a programmer for the Tundra. Runs about $379 if I remember correctly.

throttle body spacer is just a waist of money on fuel injection you may get a very minimal response, but the whistle you'll get will drive you crazy

put that money into a good CAI and get one that's a full box try AFE or Voliant both show great numbers and maintain the required filtering you need also when you look into them get a dry filter so you don't have to mess with the oil and wash it's a pain

I've been seeing some nice fog and running lights in some tundras behind grill..do they make brackets for these or do your own custom work? I have pias now in normal place for fogs..didn't come w/fogs and would like to do something different in those areas and put the pias in back bumper for help at night with backup screen. any help appreciated...what would be a good size light..thinking of going amber to be seen for sure..thinking about 6"..anyone done it here yet? Thanks
