I got this from another forum. The member said their local dealership sent it to them in an email showing the affected vehicles:
Affected Vehicles
2005 - 2007 Avalon with VIN starting with 4T1
2009 - 2010 Matrix with VIN starting with 2T1
2007 - 2008 Tundra with VIN starting with 5TB
2007 - 2010 Tundra with VIN starting with 5TF
2008 - 2010 Sequoia with VIN starting with 5TD
2009 - Corolla with VIN starting with 1NX or 2T1 CTS*
2010 Highlander with VIN starting with 5TD CTS*
2009 - 2010 RAV4 with VIN starting with 2T3 CTS*
2007 - 2010 Camry with VIN starting with 4T4 CTS*
(with VIN starting with 4T1 need to inspect Pedal)

good info! I was talking with dealership yesterday and it was explained to me that the pedals are bought by Toyota and not made by them aaaannnnddd Toyota only accounts for 3% of the sales of their pedals...so who is buying the other 97%? It is already been stated that Ford-commercial is one. I think when it is all said and done there will be all kinds of brands with this make of pedal.

Ah so it's an actual issue with the pedal and/or pedal mechanism. Hmm maybe Toyota will come out as the top dog for "blowing the whistle" up front on the 3%...

yeah, yota is being crushed right now...lot was totally empty yesterday. It was explained to me that it is the return mechanism on the pedal...now whether they knew what they were talking bout or not, i don't know. They worked at the dealership so i take his word for it, since his livelyhood is being affected.

There's still a die hard customer base out there, including myself. So pedal or no pedal...I'm still satisfied with all 3 of my Toyota products that it's not influencing me negatively.

I'm going to keep exercising mine regularly so that I do not have an issue. I looked and I have the "bad" design, haven't had an issue with it so far and don't expect to. I do not intend to get caught up in all of the "the sky is falling, the sky is falling" hype, I have faith in all 3 Toyota's that I own.

Still better and tougher than them other trucks even with a broke gas pedal...Here's a hint...PUT IT IN NEUTRAL!!!!!!!!!!!!! APPLY BRAKES AND KILL IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or scream and panic.

Kyle - they are very open to speak about the recall. I personally know my service advisor and safety is everyone's concern but their hands are tied without parts. They will be working from 7 a.m. til 10 p.m. to get customers taken care of and parts will be going to the customers' vehicle before they can replace any in the rentals or sales vehicles at both Fred Haas locations. That says a lot. Hang in there, bro!!!

The recall doesn't scare me. My uncle's brother-in-law is in management at the plant in S.A. and assured me it is a non-issue.
Bought mine after the production stopped. They added the "steel stamp" before I test drove and gave me a slammin' price!

I got a pretty good price on mine as well but I think I could have done better if I would have known about the recall
