I like the UFC and MMA. But personally I think the UFC has gotten to a point where they're only in it to make money now(although who doesn't?). But its at a point where it seems like Dana White & Joe Silva will throw any fight on a card. UFC 100 was the last time I saw a card that I was actually excited for the whole card. Lately there might be one good fight and a few so-so ones. Don't take my word on it, but I think the upcoming Couture vs Coleman fight is gonna be weak. Randy's last fight was boring as hell, and Mark Colemans old as hell. Randy might be old, but he doesn't show it like Coleman does. I'm a big fan of Nate Marquardt but I don't remember seeing this other guy hes fighting before. To sum it up I think 109 has good fighters but not good fights. Plus you got Mike Swick thats from here in Houston so you gottta love him. Then like 2 weekends later they're overseas somewhere for cain velasquez who I could of sworn had fought like 2 months ago. Silva vs Bisping will most likely be a good fight if they come out swinging. Hopefully bisping gets KO'd again like Henderson did to him. I like joe stevenson but the guy started so young that at the age hes at now it seems like hes already slowing down, then idk who else is on that card off the top of my head. Then they do a "free' one on the Versus channel, and we'll see GSP tear dan the gay man hardy a new one at the next fight. along with mir fighting carwin, who should be fighting lesnar.
Call me an elitist, but now that I hear people I work with that didn't know what mma was a year ago who now talk about it like they know the ins and outs makes me shy away from the sport.

Rampage is a fucking joke, I can't stand the guy. The show Ultimate fighter made me dislike him even more. He was supposed to fight rashad evans after the ultimate fighter but being the joke he is he ran away to make a movie.

I was wondering what happened. Deer season put me outta the loop. Randy definitely needs to retire and Liddel shouldn't be too far behind him, def lost a step. Blondie's got to go too, sick of seeing him. Just when I thought I was done looking at his tired ass, he came back. I wish Dana and he would've fought...would've been awesome if Dana would have beat his ass. It's just like anything, the bigger it gets, the more money it makes. The more money it makes, the more it will pull away from it's origination. The fact is that UFC could not be what it is today unless it evolved. Yeah, I liked it better when it started, back when the Gracie family helped organized it but there is no way it would've went main stream...too much controversy from the yankees and media. So if you enjoy the sport you have to be happy that it changed because if it didn't...it probably wouldn't be no where near as accessable as it is today, if at all. Has it taken on kinda Wrastlin' characteristics? Yeah, but I just hope this is a growing pain and that aspect tones down some...I don't need to see Lesnar knocking a door of it's frame 50 million times. They dont like each other, we get it.

We had a meet at Hugh & Jeff's in November. It's a neat spot for the fights.

I agree dmonge, the cards of late have been rather weak. One good fight and a couple of decent fights since UFC 100 it seems. But they usually put together enough interesting fights to keep me intrigued.UFC 109 has couture v coleman headlining (not interested really, but love to watch couture). marquardt v sonnen (interesting because of sonnen's last performance was impressive and that means a lot in a weaker division). swick v paulo should be a fun fight to watch. demian maia v dan miller and serra v trigg should be mildly interesting. And that's about it for the main card. Not too bad compared to some recent ones.Silva bisping i think is UFC 110. Another decent card but not great. I'm a long time Wanderlei Silva fan and hope he wins!

Chuck needs to retire. He has gotten KO'd in his last 2 fights, and now we have to see liddel ortiz 3! BS! At least randy is still competitive but he is slowing down too.
