house is putting put aside because we're just not in the right situation to buy.... so we'll just stick with renting for a while longer.... no big deal really
I think I might do this.
5" Tough Country lift 2.5" Level Kit
Stack the 2 together and add them up and you get? yes... that is right 7.5"
with that I can fit 37" tires w/o any rubbing issues.
and it's look something like this.... but of course mine will be a DC
what are your thoughts?

I wouldn't stack the level lift on there, I'd go a different route for the extra 2 inches of lift. But thats just me.. your truck, you do what you want.

Pretty yummy...especially if you had those wheels. How much do you drive your truck to worry about the gas mileage? And I'd honestly keep saving for the house though.

I agree...no stacking!! Looks good, but aren't there better options out there than stacking?

ya... i've talked to him and he's got no issues and has had it done for just over 6 months.... I asked him to sign up on the site but hasnt yet... not sure why.
The shop that did it is called Kingin Customz in Dickinson... they've done lots of lifts like this and none of their customers have had issues.
I know that this has been done many times before
Also remember that this is just an everday truck... no offroading and I dont drive long distances... just from here to there and back..
I'm not really too concerned with gas mileage.... its just another thing to pay for playing...lol
as far as a different route... i'm not trying to get away cheap on this gig but the next best thing is an RCD lift for $2500... with this route... the 5in kit is only $1500 and doesnt require any cutting or fab work.
I really want something different other than the basic 6in on 35's which many people have... especially on a 1gen... I really want to stick out there! y'all know me!!!
as far as the rims... I'll DEFINITELY be keeping the ones I have but if this project goes this way then I'll be sportin 20inches on 37's

The higher the better...startin to re-think my "just high enough to fit in my garage" lift...seen a truck on my way home from Austin last night that had a, I don't know, about a 48" lift, lol. that sob was way up there...one of them trucks you see and go "Holy Shit!"...must have had atleast 100k in this truck, outrageous. Beez, Your truck do, what you want, I think it would look badass.

I definitely agree with bigger is better and think this would look awesome on your truck!! I bet you would be fine with that set up. As far as the money part... I think a good idea would be that for every $ you put towards this setup, put away a $ for the house that you won't touch. That way you're working towards both at the same time, just my two cents though.

Oh and I say do it because I'm stepping up to 37's in the first of March! The more bigger trucks we have, the more heads we'll be turning! Whoop!

The cost of Shawn's tires almost made me sh*t bricks. I don't drive Manny every day and still don't want to pay that for 37s. 35s will do, esp. when you get them for the price of 33s LOL @ 4WP bonehead in CA.

I have a buddy that works for discount, I found out a lil late after I bought my tires/wheels but he says when I need new tires just hit him up. : I gotta drive like an half hour to go to his discount tire while I got one two minutes away but its worth it

Haha yea Jason was going to give me the hook up! I just don't know if I could afford buying new tires for those 24's! The 37's that I'm getting are still going to be free. Buddy works at Discount as well and he is stepping up to 38's on 22's so I'm just going to give him my 35's and take his 37's while being able to keep my 20's.
Jason, have you not had any hits whatsoever on your tires and wheels?
