i guess they saw some more of the crap toyotas having with the pedals, and now they don want me driving unless its absolutely necessary. even suggested i take the bus Rolling Eyes

anyways, ima continue driving around, no worrier for me. unless it happens, then ill just kill the engine!!!!!!!! Parents told me not to drive...... 641631

well i mean, to me it seems that ppl are making too big of a deal outta it. only like what 3 confirmed cases of this, outta thousands sold? none tundras so far.

and how ignorant are some ppl. if it happens, kill engine, slam on the brakes, or put in neutral????

Bus? LOL...I'll take my chances. It's been 2 years with no issues and knowing there are isolated cases, you just refresh yourself on how to stop a runaway vehicle and keep trucking.

Starting to sound like sabotage against Toyota for being a best seller....

Yeah, I agree it might be blown out of proportion. But its the smart thing to do, its better to stop sales and production and lose some money to fix a problem. Rather than not doing that and getting a million law suit cases and having to just give out money to people.

I think it's sad in a business sense they haven't identified the root cause of the issue that it's come to halting production and sales. My only hope is that sales are still so slow in general that they can afford to do it and get some serious R&D together for when the market heads in a better direction.

Plus can you name ONE thing that F150s can do better than our trucks?

Unofficial news is that a fix with some type of shim will be rolling out as early as next week. Problem solved....people can stop tripping. At least it's taught a lot of people how to disable a possible runaway vehicle.
