The motor assembly is highlighted. The first step is removing the cover that sits on top. I didnt take pictures of this, but its pretty easy. It is just a few clips all around the case, that you can lift with a flathead screwdriver and then just pull the cover off.
Ok this is what you'll be looking at once the cover is off. Basically there are three things you need to do. The first is to remove the carrier from its clip. This carrier is a litle gray piece, that clips in to one of the gears and moves up and down as the motor moves your headlights. Its not easy to see in my pictures, but its not difficult. Once again a little lifting with a flathead will pop this carrier right out of its clip. Once thats done, you can see little clips holding the motor/circuit board assembly in place. Gently pry up around those clips and lift the motor out of place. This is the biggest piece in the housing, containing a small white gear, the motor, and the circuit board. Next, the pink gear should just lift out and then your motor is disassembled.
This is what your pieces look like out of the casing. Reassembly is simply the same process in reverse. Hope this is useful for someone! This is not difficult and once you have that cover off, you'll realize just how easy it is to take apart. 5 extra minutes, and a lot more peace of mind.
