PostSubject: Hello GCT   1/27/2010, 12:30 pm

Hello GCT, My name is Jason and I have been a long time Toyota fan.
I own a 1998 Tacoma 4x4 & 2010 Tundra 5.7 Crew with Long bed. And my wife owns a 2009 Prius.
I met a Daniell Merrill at Star Toyota, and he basically sold me on the 2010 Tundra 5.7 (he should go into sales), his knowledge about the vehicle really pushed me from a new Tacoma to the Tundra, and so far I love it (even though I have just read the recall on the pedal ACK!!).

My plans are to get a camper, but not anything fugly (recommendations?). As well as some mods to improve HP or Mileage. Also looking for rails as my Mother In-law cannot get in the truck due to it's height (this may not be a bad thing =)

I look forward to reading the wealth of knowledge that has accumulated here, and all of your advice.

Peace - Jason

Thanks for joining, Jason. You can find great recommencations for perfomance mods on the site and always feel free to ask any of us questions. As for camper, I have a Leer 100XR on my longbed. It really depends what you want to use your camper for to determine the options you must have vs. would like. BTW - are you sure you got a longbed on a CrewMax? I didn't think they made those.

Just let me know what more info you want regarding campers!

Damn Beez.... Good imitation of Hitler.... SHEESH!!!

Welcome to the site... I would suggest the Nfabs if you are looking for steps.... Or you could just ditch the steps, keep the camper, and just keep some rachet straps handy when the MIL needs a lift....

JUST KIDDDDDDING....

I love my MIL... oh wait.... I dont have one.... but I might love her if I had one.... especially if she gave me candy and good birthday gifts..... Hell, I just need a grandma, then I wouldnt even need to split stuff with a wife!!!

See?? This site makes me smart.

PostSubject: Re: Hello GCT   1/30/2010, 5:10 pm

Thanks for the warm welcome. Here is a pic of my beloved un Mod'd stock 2010 SR5.

TxTee: You may be right , I just know I can now carry a family in this thing. Love it..
Speaking of Daniel5.7, again thanks for the heads up on Tundra Spec's and Yes we had our first addition to the family, a little girl on Dec. 12th (and we haven't slept yet).

Looking at some of the pics, I like the NFab a lot justinsfa. I'm just unsure as to what design & colour to use. I'm liking the Black on White idea for all the bars. And excuse my lack of knowledge as to what bars are called what. I'm originally a Brit over here from the UK, and never grew up around trucks. The tacoma was my "Gateway Truck" and now I'm here hooked on Tundra's looking for Mod's I can do on the fly.

Again thanks for the advice people.

~ Jason

Congratulations on your baby girl, Jason. You're in the right place to get more knowledge/help for modding the Tundra. Ask away as much as you need to and we'll get you squared away. I agree that black/white contrast will be great for the bars.

Ooooh and thanks for sharing a pic! See ya around the site and hopefully at the next meet if you can make it.
