If any of you are like me; you leave your keys in your ignition most of the time.
Just for the record I did not come up with this just posting here so everyone can get the same benefit (oh and don't be afraid to pull apart the steering column no mechanical inclination required)
Total Mod Time: 5 Min
Tools Needed: Phillips head screw driver (possibly some needle nose pliers if you have uncommonly large hands )
Source: http://tundrageeks.com/forum/07-diys/1086-key-buzzer-disable.html
1: With the truck running remove these 2 screws (leave the truck running for the power steering)
2: using your hands pull the plastic steering column cover apart (this will take some force, but only use your hands the plastic is too thin for any kind of tool use)
3: Unplug this plug (you can use your key on the ignition side the release)
4: Test (you will still here 3 chimes from the seat blet, but thats all you can leave the door open with the key in and no more dinging)
5: Snap the steer column back together (be sure to center the column around the ignition and levers for good tight fit
6: Start the truck (for the power steering) and replace the 2 screws.
7: Enjoy the silence

LMAO @ Chris.....Thanks for adding the write up, Ros. I'm sure others will find it useful. BTW - people really leave their keys in the ignition and why?

Keep searching the site. We have a few members that go through the same thing and can't stand it to all hell. Basically, dealerships are not willing to turn them off due to legalities. My method is to tuck that seatbelt behind you....but some ppl says it sticks u in the arse....not sure!

There was a write up on another forum where the guy took a plastic DVD case and traced out the shape of the seat belt then cut it out. He made a couple for use on both sides. There was also a guy that made some stainless ones I think.

yeah I did that too just make sure that you take your time and make them exactly the same shape and size as the buckles you have now or it won't work
